No need for a bassinette...

My hospital assistant

Amber stayed with me when Rebecca was born.
Jessica stayed when Josiah was born.

Bethany got to stay when Isaac was born.

And now it was Rebecca's turn!
This sweet little blessing enjoyed her big sister's attention.
She looks appreciative to me!

Rebecca's been dreaming of this day. She brought along her favorite prissy dress and bloomers which proved to be a bit large for Hannah.

Here she had just been doing Hannah's hair. There's not much to work with yet!

Hannah's important information.

Josiah and Samuel are already asking if they can stay with me when we have another baby!

Angelic girl

Sweet little Hannah was such an angel on her first night home.
I was up at 2:00 AM ready to feed her, but she decided to wait until 4:30.
That simply means that Momma got more sleep last night than the preceding 3 nights!
Look at those chubby little knuckles.
I love her dimples!
This is Hannah first thing this morning. I'm head over heels in love!

Home Sweet Home

The top picture is one that I took yesterday, when she was about an hour old.
The other two are from the ride home today, in her car seat. I love it when she smiles!
Thank you so much, all of you who were praying for Mom and Hannah. We all appreciate your prayers! (Thank you Mrs. Teresa for cooking supper and cleaning the house! After being up since 3:30, it was nice not to need to clean the house when I got home last night so it would be clean today for Mom. :-)
If you'd like to see my blog for more pictures, go to http://trucksr4girls.blogspot.com/ .
God bless,
~Jess

Fancied up diapers and wipes!

Who would guess a person could make diapers and wipes look so good?
Rebecca, Samuel, and Josiah were sure excited to get to open this beautiful package for Hannah.
Of course, these were Sam's Club sized boxes!

Nothing says "I love you" like....

...a nice bowl of turnip greens from Cracker Barrel!

I could live on this stuff! It's what I ALWAYS get to eat right after I have a baby.
It's what Jessica has been bringing me several times recently.
It's what Tyler brought me for Mother's Day.
It's what Bruce has brought me just to say, "I love you!"
Yummmmmm!

Did I mention Isaac's love for balls?

I told Isaac it was naptime, and he proceeded to load his bed with every ball he could find.
A little while later, I found he had acquired two more, making a total of 10 balls in his little bed!
There was a little bit of room left for him.

Never met a ball he didn't like. No joke!

Does he look tired to you?

Guess who was at the wedding? Amber and Him!

Their eyes don't normally look so....enlightened.
Red eye fix can only do so much, I guess!

Rare picture of me and my WAY better half!

I think Jessica took this picture of me and Bruce at a wedding on July 11th.
Check out that prego belly!

Three Handsome Cowboys and a Fair Maiden

Bethany, Josiah, Isaac, and Samuel were all dressed up for a wedding
and the boys decided to put on their cowboy hats.
Check out Josiah's knife strapped to his side.
(It's made of rubber!)
Looks like Bethany is trying to be a knife thief while Josiah makes a face at Samuel.

Who could ever think children are too much of a burden?
They bring a lot of joy into our home! Life would be so dull without them.

We did require removal of hats and all weapons before attending the wedding.

Beyond full term

At today's doctor appointment, it was decided that our baby girl will be induced on Tuesday, July 28th, unless she happens to come on her own sooner than that.
I'm now 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant.
On that date, I will be 41 weeks and 4 days along.
I say let's pray that this little girl will come on her own, preferably when my doctor is IN town. That would be tomorrow or Wednesday. . .or even Monday night!
(My doctor is going on a long weekend vacation with her family this Thursday, and she will return Monday evening, hence the Tuesday morning induction.)

Two Upchurch Boys...opposite ends of the age spectrum

Isaac has never met a ball he didn't like.
Tyler has never met a baby he didn't like...I think.
(This is a friend's sweet boy.)

Fill 'er up......soon

The bassinett is ready to fill up with our baby girl.
Rebecca even has the blanket folded in swaddling position.
Any day now...

~*Bethany*~

Beth and I did a little mini-shoot the other day on the driveway, it's hard to believe how fast she's growing up! She's turned into such sweet, willing helper around the house. :-)

Rebecca took this good picture of Jessica while they were "supposed" to be working at the Big House this past week. Looks like Rebecca is going to be a good photographer like Jessica!
Jessica took this good shot of Samuel in our backyard cornfield.

Josiah gave a very rare pose, too.
(He usually turns shy when he sees a camera aimed his way.)

Isaac is never shy for the camera. He always has a smile to share.

Isaac turns 2 !!

Oh, the joy of a simple piece of chocolate birthday cake

Blowing out two candles was easy for this sweet boy!
(Can you see he had a lot of encouragers surrounding him?)

Very pleased with himself.

By the way...

I am officially 39 weeks along with our sweet blessing. She is due on July 17th, but if she does like most of her nine siblings, she won't bother coming before that date, but you never know!

Isaac's Fascination

Isaac had a great fascination at the pool that had nothing to do with the water...a hole in the concrete that plays a role in holding a wintertime pool cover in place.
